Landmark 10th International Conference on Recent Advances in Pain featured 52 scientific abstracts, global faculty, hands-on training and high delegate ratings

KOLKATA, WEST BENGAL, INDIA, September 16, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- ICRAPAIN 2026, the 10th International Conference on Recent Advances in Pain, concluded successfully in Kolkata after bringing together more than 600 pain professionals for a multidisciplinary exchange of science, clinical experience, procedural skills and innovation in pain medicine.

Organized by Daradia Pain Foundation in association with Daradia: The Pain Clinic, the conference brought together pain physicians, anesthesiologists, researchers, educators, trainees and healthcare professionals from India and abroad. More than 80 international participants joined the meeting, alongside an international faculty roster representing more than 20 countries.

Held under the theme **“From Evidence to Practice: Shaping the Future of Pain Medicine,”** ICRAPAIN 2026 focused on translating emerging evidence into practical clinical decision-making.

The scientific programme addressed pain biologics and regenerative therapies, musculoskeletal ultrasound, radiofrequency techniques, neuromodulation, endoscopic spine procedures, neuropathic and nociplastic pain, cancer pain, artificial intelligence, digital technologies and research methodology.

Academic participation was a major feature of the 10th edition. A total of 52 scientific abstracts were presented or accepted as part of the programme, including 42 submissions from delegates and 10 from faculty.

The international scientific programme included contributions from experts such as Prof. Philip Peng of Canada, Prof. Jin-Woo Shin, Prof. Jae Chul Koh and Prof. Lee Pyung-Bok of South Korea, Prof. Abdi Salahadin of the United States, as well as faculty from Malaysia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Ireland, Egypt, Nepal, Bangladesh, Africa, Europe and other regions.

Prof. Peng contributed a session on shoulder denervation, while other plenary and focused sessions explored spinal epidural balloon decompression, digital twins and extended reality in pain interventions, nociplastic pain, regenerative medicine, neuropathic pain and contemporary interventional techniques.

Practical education remained central to ICRAPAIN. Pre-conference training included C-arm-guided procedures on real-bone mannequins and a Pain Biologics workshop covering areas including PRP and bone marrow aspirate concentrate. The post-conference programme included structured ultrasound-guided hands-on training with faculty-supervised rotational stations.

**“The success of the 10th ICRAPAIN was not simply about how many people attended. What mattered was the level of participation in science, hands-on learning, research, debate and collaboration,” said Dr. Gautam Das, Organizing Chair of ICRAPAIN 2026. “Our objective was to create a platform where evidence could move beyond the lecture hall and become meaningful clinical practice. The international participation and enthusiasm of young pain physicians were particularly encouraging.”**

Post-conference feedback indicated strong participant satisfaction. Among **81 delegates who responded to the feedback survey**, the overall conference received an average rating of **9.22 out of 10**, while the scientific programme also received **9.22/10**.

Hands-on components received similarly high ratings, with the Live Pain Biologics Workshop scoring **9.63/10**, the C-arm Workshop **9.46/10**, and the Ultrasound Workshop **9.22/10**. In the same survey, **75% of respondents indicated interest in attending ICRAPAIN 2027**.

The organizers also received constructive feedback regarding workshop rotations, time management, navigation between scientific halls, availability of printed programmes and accommodation coordination, which will be incorporated into planning for future editions.

Post-event comments shared publicly by participating faculty and healthcare-industry organizations also highlighted the quality of the scientific discussions, learning opportunities, professional interactions and hands-on components of the conference.

ICRAPAIN 2026 additionally included research presentations, innovation-focused sessions, the ICRA-PAIN Shark Tank platform, convocation activities and professional networking, reinforcing the conference's emphasis on education, research and collaboration within the evolving specialty of pain medicine.

The main scientific conference was held at Vedic Village Spa Resort, Kolkata, with associated pre- and post-conference training activities forming part of the September 3–6 academic programme.

Following the completion of the 10th edition, preparations have begun for **ICRAPAIN 2027**, which will continue the conference's focus on evidence, precision interventions, research and hands-on education in pain medicine.
